No job too big, no job too small.....well maybe

So we are in the middle of some redecorating at the moment, and its going surprisingly well. I have also managed to do some painting which usually is a task i hate, but there is a reason I have done it......and as usual its to do with chasing that Dopamine hit.
So the front room was in much need off a freshen up so, new couch was ordered, new tv unit ordered, and now the job of emptying some toys and getting it painted. Cleaning toys would not be on my list of chores to chase the hit , so I skipped ahead to painting the ceiling. It needed to be done but not so quick and not when instead of cleaning up the kids toys I just worked around them, but it all comes down to the task that will keep me motivated and moving and engaged.
I also moved our 2 recliner sofas out of the house to be collected, now anyone with a recliner knows how bloody heavy they are, and I'm not built for strength work LOL, but I do get surprisingly strong when I know the dopamine hit will be worth it in the end. Its a strange thing but its just how the head works and I know I'm not alone.
And to be fair to my wife she has let me off the leash so too speak and not tried to slow me down on it as she can see I'm engaged in the process which is the biggest battle. So if you have someone who operates like me, maybe just let them go in the order that they see this time, once its not doing any harm and the end result is the work getting done, Just maybe there is a space for their crazy logic right now and remember for neurodivergent people its not as simple as A-Z its more like A-D with a stop over in T on the way then back to C and eventually we get to Z...
And remember it can be fun too doing it differently. In my case when I met my wife she didn't know that I operated like I do and too be fair neither did I, I just took my way as unique and the more its embraced the happier we are getting, yes I need to manage it at times and sometimes I need to be reigned in, but that's ok too.
Celebrate the madness
