Mindpath and my journey with them

02/12/2025

So I haven't posted in a few weeks- which I shouldn't be too annoyed about but its not what I wanted to do when I set up this page- so apologies for anyone that has been checking in.  I wanted to pop in some info on my experience trying to find the right 'partner' for me to get my testing done and then how they would help after that.

After 2 years or more of putting off getting tested because of money or just fear i finally went ahead and started the search for a service to do the diagnosis.  And after lots of research and lots of will I wont I do this I settled on Mindpath - so lets look at why.

Firstly, the website did not overwhelm me when I went on- I found it calm and loaded with just enough information. Its colour palette is fresh and again not to harsh to look at

After clicking on the ADHD assessment tab, you can then pay €9.99 to do a pre-assessment which involves answering a number of questions about your day to day life.  This doesn't take too long but its really important you answer as honestly as you can. After this is complete you will receive a follow up call to discuss the result and you can decide if you want to go ahead with the full testing process.  I have to say every member of staff I spoke with could not have been nicer and made the process very easy and showed compassion and empathy as needed along the way-off the top of my head I can recall speaking to a Britany and Fiona, both of whom were amazing.

After the follow up call and I decided to go ahead with the full assessment my appointment was set up and I was paired up with a psychologist who would carry out the process, and I was sent an observer form to send to 2 trusted people.  So I got my older sister to fill it in as she could answer the childhood stuff well and then my wife as she sees me and my traits every day and has for the last 20 years. They filled in the form and sent it back.

The actual assessment process took about 90 mins or so and involved answering a number of questions and in answering I had to give it on my current day to day life but then also in my childhood.  At times it was tricky to answer some parts but I also had to remember there was no right or wrong.  My psychologist Thomaz was easy to talk to and was compassionate when needed and led the process very well, and even when i was rambling on a little he guided me back on track.  I will say after this assessment I was drained and some emotions and history were stirred up.  This assessment cost €549.

After this I was contacted a couple of days later to say that they were looking at my assessment and the observations that were sent on and it was leaning towards an ADHD diagnosis and did I want to set up a full reporting call- I said yes and paid the €399.  On this final call the psychologist went through in detail some of the reporting info and also sent me on the full report of 52 pages.  This report was so detailed and gave info on multiple areas of my life, and were I struggle the most.  It ends with suggestions for treatment and advice.

All in all a brilliant service and so much so I recommended it to a family member and about a month after i was diagnosed they also completed assessment with Mindpath too.  They work with Klarna so if needs be the payments can be split. So if thinking about assessment and are looking for a team that will treat you with respect and empathy please click above and use Mindpath.....I want to note I didn't receive anything to post this except permission when I asked them.
