A very big small next step

So its been a crazy, hectic, non-stop few weeks, and all in all its been exhausting and draining. The new job has had its ups and downs and I'm still learning loads about it and at the same time feel I'm setting a good tone with the people there. Its all about trust- they need to trust me to guide them and I need to trust that they know their part and if we all pull in the same direction, success wont be far away.
In the last few weeks I was contacted on LinkedIn by an ADHD coach, this was through following Alex Partridge. I had contemplated talking to an ADHD coach before but like most things its getting that first small step done..but this time I took the leap and set up a call with them.
I was a nervous wreck going on the call and 100% I overshared on the call but it was just felt like the right thing to do. It also got quite emotional and probably made me think about the past a lot and at the things I know I do wrong at home etc.
I had planned to do another session but its been quite a heavy few weeks and I knew I wasn't in the right space for it, but the coach was so understanding and I will reconnect in the coming weeks with her. I have also had the idea of medication come back up- after what I feel was a disastrous conversation with my GP were I was basically told everyone has Adhd, I stopped looking for advice and help, but after the last few weeks I think it may help me find more balance and be able to control my emotions and blood pressure a little more.
I'm not back to myself but I'm getting there so I wont waffle on about too much. Please give Aisling Leamy a connect on LinkedIn and reach out to her if on the lookout for an Adhd support. Its not one size fits all so what works for me may not for you and that's ok-find what works for you and go with your gut- remember that's one of our superpowers.
